I have a big fear of LICE!! The thought of one of my children having lice scares the living daylights out of me!
My kids know that if I see anything foreign on their hair they will get a full lice check. It is common for my daughter to roll her eyes and groan as she is searched from ear to ear every morning as we brush her hair. I sometimes wonder if she understands the severity of finding a louse in her hair...
Mom...my scalp is itchy, can you check for lice?
Of course I did what any proud, beaming mother would do once she realized her daughter was growing up and becoming "louse aware" on her own.
I turned on a bright lamp, bent my daughter's head over, and began a detailed comb-through in search of lice. Lucky for us, it was just an itchy scalp....
It just goes to show that you can never educate your kids enough!
